Psalm 23 is a beautiful song that David writes! I truly believe it is more than just a song written to give David duck bumps and make himself feel good. I truly believe David is writing to God a love song, that is also meant to be a reminder of the God we serve!

Psalm 23 says this, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name sake. Even though I walk through the darkest of valleys I will fear no evil.”

Now I want to stop there and reflect on Davids words of “Even though” can you imagine with me for just a moment, what life would look like if we had this “even though” type of faith?! Even though nothing is going right, even though my finances are not good, even though I just lost someone dear to me, even though….. I will fear no evil! I can walk through the lowest of lows, the darkest of valleys and even though I will go through this, He (God) will make me lay day in green pastures, he will lead me beside quiet waters and he will refresh my soul. If we allow Him, He will guide us through those dark times and walk out on the other, never leaving us alone. You may find yourself in a dark place today, but know that God’s love for you is far more powerful than the lowest of low valleys we find ourselves in sometimes!
